The Arts of Fashion Foundation is a
501(c)(3) non-profit organization linking both academics and
professionals alike and is dedicated in fostering international
cultural exchange through the creation of a variety of events
meant to facilitate critical thinking among artists, designers,
scholars and students. The primary focus of the foundation
is the continuous support of creativity and design in fashion
and the arts linked to it. We organize a variety of educational
events including our annual International Student Fashion
Design and Accessories Competition and our prestigious MasterClass-Series,
five days consisting of exhibitions, seminars, and workshops
directed by world-renowned designers. Presently, the Arts
of Fashion Student Competition is the only U.S. fashion design
competition credited by 2007 Annual Guide Percosi di Creativita,
published by LVMH.
We are seeking eager partners who share our vision of innovation,
growth, and the development of future generations of artists,
fashion designers and innovators. Our advancement to international
status necessitates we procure additional funding to continue
to offer the highest quality in education, speakers, seminars
and shows.
The ultimate goal of the Arts of Fashion is to expose fashion
design students to a 'creative mindset' through introducing
them to rare opportunities such as participation in international
fashion design competitions, internships abroad, workshops,
exhibitions, and lectures with prestigious guest speakers.
Internships with reknowned designers are key in an industry
in which connections are vital to an aspiring designer's career.

the young talents from all over the world who constantly produce

internship opportunities at prestigious Fashion Schools, such

& Textile Applied Arts School and the Schools of the French

de Castelbajac, Veronique Branquinho, Anne Valerie Hash, Wendy
and Jim and Natalia Brilli. Our competition final and fashion
show took place on November 3rd at the DuPont Building in
Miami and was presided over by the international leading contemporary
creative fashion designer from the Belgium scene, Veronique

Etienne Mineur, graphic art designer and mastermind behind
the Issey Miyake website, and seminars including focus on
fashion copyright issues directed by Attorney Susan Scafidi,

with 4 young designers, who studied in the United States and
are alumni of the Arts of Fashion: Megan Stein, Douglas Reker,
David Gil and Santiago Carlos.
However, we would like to grow even more, with more prizes
and internships, funding for scholarships, development of
summer and winter sessions in prestigious and traditional
visual and applied art colleges around the world and also
opportunities for young independent designers to showcase
their work nationally and internationally.
