TARU NIEMINEN - Lahti University - Inst. of Design and Fine Arts - Finland

Taru Nieminen's inspiration is the frosty Finnish winter. She wanted to translate in her collection how the resilience of nature is when it is about surviving after winter.
After the melt season, trees that froze, carry on the white crystal layer a dark brown crust jagged.
This hard and soft relationship to each other is inspiring. Clothing will bring the inspiration from materials scrambling.
