THE ARTS OF FASHION FOUNDATION TO ANNOUNCE FINALISTS OF THE FASHION SHOWCASE AT THE ASIAN ART MUSEUM IN SAN FRANCISCO - DECEMBER 17, 2018
On Sunday December 16th and Monday 17th, the Arts of Fashion Foundation held the 2018 Symposium which culminated with the 2018 Arts of Fashion International Competition on Monday night. The sponsorship of YKK Corporation and the support of VIP guests made possible the two-day events, which allowed fashon students to interact with luminaries in the Industry and explain their inspiration and passion behind their runway looks for the Monday night show.
At the Sunday seminar, we had the pleasure of hearing about the rich and varied experience in the fashion industry of the four international guests judges:
THE 2018 ARTS OF FASHION COMPETITION AWARDED CANDIDATES
The events Monday, hosted at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, included a portfolio review in which the expert judges were able to discuss the projects with the students, a preliminary project presentation and finally the runway show in which students showcased innovative looks around the 2018 theme Transgression. 32 Countries and 104 Schools and Universities were represented this year with 340 applicants during the first phase of the international Arts of Fashion Competition 2018. Of the 50 finalists, 31 flew in from all over the world to attend the event as did VIP guests hosted by Committee Chair, Juliet Bergh.
