Le Theatre de la Mode

Sixty years ago, the "Theatre de la Mode" exhibition was inaugurated in Paris, celebrating the re-birth of the Haute Couture Houses after WWII.

Because of the generosity and trust of the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture, the Maryhill Museum of Art in Oregon, has the privilege since 1952 to host and take care of the sleeping beauty of the marvellous 'Theatre de la Mode". The last stay of the original U.S. tour exhibition was in San Francisco in 1946!
